Invisalign® Costs and Financing: Making Orthodontics Affordable
Invisalign®, which uses clear trays to align teeth, is one of the most popular and comfortable ways to straighten teeth. But since it’s a newer technique compared to braces, many people mistakenly assume Invisalign® is much more costly than braces.
Invisalign®, in fact, is comparable to the cost of braces. In addition to being comparable in price, Invisalign® also saves time. With no wires to repeatedly adjust, Invisalign® requires significantly fewer visits to the orthodontist, which is an important consideration for people balancing work and home life.
Orthodontist Kellyn Hodges understands the time and money constraints that patients face. She offers Invisalign® at three convenient offices in the Philadelphia area and manages Invisalign® costs to make treatment more affordable. Her team of doctors, located in Bala Cynwyd, Bensalem, and Montgomeryville, has years of advanced training and expertise.
How Much Does Invisalign®Cost?
Costs for Invisalign® will depend on the extent of work that needs to be done. A personal consultation, which is free, is the best way to determine what Invisalign® will cost in your case. In most cases, the cost is comparable to traditional metal braces.
Factors that can affect the cost include:
- Number of aligners needed to achieve the desired result.
- How much preparatory work will be required.
- Whether you need other orthodontic treatments, in addition to Invisalign®.
Insurance
Many dental insurance plans cover Invisalign® just as they would braces. What percentage of the cost is covered depends on your plan, but we can work with you and your insurer to determine your exact coverage levels. In fact, before your initial visit we can call to verify your orthodontic coverage so that you will have the information available at your first consultation.
We accept most insurance policies and would be happy to process your insurance claims for you.
Flexible Spending Accounts
Many companies offer employees Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) that can further reduce the cost of Invisalign® by allowing you to spend pre-tax dollars.
An FSA allows you to set aside money from your paycheck, before taxes are taken out, to be put into the FSA account. The account is not subject to payroll taxes, saving people from 10 to 30 percent, depending on their tax rate. Money in this account can be spent only on approved medical expenses, which includes Invisalign® orthodontic treatments.
If your company offers an FSA, you should contact your human resources office to understand the rules and how to set up an account to take advantage of the savings.
Financing
Orthodontic procedures are an important investment in your smile and the long-term health of your teeth. For that reason, our offices will also help you finance the cost of Invisalign®. We offer low monthly payments and have kept our prices affordable so that we can offer orthodontic services to as many people as possible.
